The three of us had all been individually working in various aspects of construction for many years in the UK and around Europe. When we met on the same climbing wall we discovered that we shared something in common. It was the fearless love of heights, climbing and adrenaline that comes with it. Rafal was the first to train as a professional abseiler, soon to be joined by Marcin & Artur.

After some extensive training and gaining invaluable experience, the three of us decided to start working together and set up a company. This is how ‘Rope Access In London’ (R.A.I.L) was born. We are proud to say that our company has grown quickly in stature and reputation as well as the variety of skilled work that we undertake from ropes without the need for scaffolding.

Our Team

We have skilled Rope Access Technicians all with many years of experience in building and construction. All of their work is always being supervised by Site Managers, who are supported by our team of drivers transporting staff, equipment and materials effectively and quickly to our sites.

We are skilled rope technicians team who can climb up high without the use of any scaffolding, and perform complex tasks while being firmly tied with a rope.

Off-shore Industry

Rope access may have its origins in the off-shore industry, but that does not mean that is its only use. In fact, other uses have as of now completely overtaken it.

The reason rope access was initially used in the off-shore industry was because it was a work placement technique that is safe, environmentally friendly, and completely unintrusive.

Eco-friendly nature

Due to rope eco-friendly nature, they can be used in the natural environment, such as stabilisation on cliffs and rock formations – any place where it isn’t normally safe to access great heights.

Flat C called Camden to say that they are very happy with the works the R.A.I.L team has done. They said RAIL is the best out of rope access companies in the UK and has been great from the first day the team worked on-site to the very last day. They have never seen any contractors performing abseiling services in London work so good, in-fact they also said that company RAIL is too good for Camden and they cannot believe how skilled the workmen have been at rope access, stating that the works are done on time and the results are truly outstanding.

Wates Living Space

I know you are used to moans about repairs so I'm going to break the pattern and give some praise to Wates. Our roof is only five years old but already we have had yearly repairs for leaks in the same place. The workmen came and within the hour 'fixed' the problem, until the following leak a few months later. This morning, as arranged, the roofers from Wates arrived and went on the roof to see what the problem was. For the first time since the problem began, a proper analysis was done, and it wasn’t a quick “fix”, they took a day and a half to do the repairs properly, but it will mean that the leaks will be a thing of the past. The three Polish roofers from Wates are lovely. They arrived, showed their ID, covered their shoes and really seemed to know what they were doing. So when you hear the moans (some of which are justified) from residents about repairs, please remember this email as I am sure there are other satisfied people. By the way, neither Wates nor the workmen know I am on the board so I am not getting preferential treatment.
